2014 – AMREP Australia is founded under the name Optimised Maintenance
AMREP Australia was founded by Brian Smith and Kate Smith in 2014 under the banner of Optimised Maintenance. We were a small group focused on improving the maintenance of asset performance in the mining sector. We had experience in maintenance, engineering and projects and worked to build a process flow that would solve a lot of maintenance issues.
2019 – 5 years on – diversification and focus expand
Optimised Maintenance had by this stage delivered many maintenance improvement products. We had solved problems from Waste Facilities to Mine Sites to Public and Government infrastructure and delivered it through engineering and project management tools. We had expanded our team and our offering and were out growing our humble origins as a maintenance optimisation company.
2022 – 8 years on – Optimised Maintenance rebrands to AMREP Australia
Our offering became Asset Management, Risk and Reliability Engineering and Project Management. After much deliberation we decided to rename to an acronym of what we did – AMREP. AMREP represented our Asset Management background, linking with our ISO55000 foundations. Risk and Reliability Engineering became a foundation for how we devised our outcomes, a key requirement in our process and Project Management underpinned how we delivered all these requirements.
2024 – 10 years on – a decade in business
A major milestone – AMREP turns 10. By this point we have people based all across Australia, we have skills and experience in many domains and we are servicing a large group of public and private clients.
